Chartridge Memories
Do you recognise this house?

Ruth Webb writes: The story behind this photo is that it was among the belongings of a man who emigrated to Canada. Written on the back is "the old farm". His name was Frank Brown and he was born in Ballinger Bottom the son of William and Sarah. His grandmother Eliza James and uncle Harry lived in Chartridge.
Frank was the grandson of William and Elizabeth James who appear on the 1901 census as living in Chartridge, somewhere between Chartridge End Farm and Chartridge Lodge.
