Events in and around Chartridge MAY 9th 2012  - CHARTRIDGE OPEN GARDENS FOR SCANNAPEAL  ANNIVERSARY As part of the celebrations 25 gardens and groups of gardens are to be opened to the public during the year and some of the Chartridge residents  have agreed to take part.  All the four properties listed below are open at the same time from 10.30am to 2pm. Maple Tree East  -   entrance past Little Maple Tree Maple Tree West -   entrance through the arch Oak Cottage, Cogdells Lane - opposite The Reading Room                Horticultural Society Events & News Next Show April 1st 2012 at the Reading Room, Chartridge       The Queen's Diamond Jubilee There will be a special bank holiday to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in the United Kingdom (UK) on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. This event honours the 60-year reign of Queen Elizabeth II in the UK. The late May bank holiday will be moved to Monday, June 4, 2012, giving people across the UK a four-day long weekend.
